Week 8 - The Pit

All Blake wanted for his birthday was to go to the local trampoline arena.  He got his wish and had a great birthday. I think B girl is in there somewhere.
Happy Birthday bud, I can't believe you are 6!

P.S. Forgot my camera again.  Photo taken with iphone.

Week 7 - Silly

It has been a great week.  Chocolates, school Valentine parties, dance and lots of games.
Pink brought home a silly puddy recipe and made it herself.  This fun stuff provided hours of entertainment and only a small mess, wink.

Week 6 - The King

Week 5 - Blue skies above the haze.

The air in the valley has been gross!  I can't believe that we live in this pollution cloud. I love the sun ......so I dread every winter when the inversion takes over and it is cold, dark and depressing.  But I loved seeing the blue skies above the haze.

Week 4 - My Cute Niece

It has been another great, busy week.  I was at the school everyday this week, I am working on another birthday quilt, helped organize and attend an Activity Days Preview breakfast and today I spent the afternoon taking pictures of my cousin's daughter.  It is so scary when my family asks me to take pictures because I am still intimidated with photography and know just the basics. But I love doing it, especially when they are so beautiful.

Week 3 - Get Your Groove On!

Z took a social dance class this semester and we loved his final performance.  The entire class participated in the choreography to a 70's song and they looked AWESOME!  The wig and shoes made his outfit! So fun to watch! The video is on his facebook if you want to see the dance.

Week 2 - Blossomed!

I was excited to practice on manual mode with this flower I received for Christmas.  It has been fun watching it grow from a bulb.

Week 1 - The Family

For week one I thought I would start with a family picture.  Believe it or not I did not take one family picture the entire year.  It was a cold day -14 degrees but we stopped for a quick family picture on our way home.  This picture was taken January 1, 2011.

Happy New Year!
We spent New Year's Eve at a local party and danced the night away!  Well, half of us. The little ones turned in early but the older kids had a great time dancing with as many girls as possible.  I loved being a fly on the wall as I was able to watch these kids full of energy, life, and laughter.

Wow! I can't believe I did it!  365 days of pictures!  This project was definitely a challenge for me but I am extremely glad that I followed through and made it to the end.  I love that I have a picture from everyday of 2010 and would encourage anyone who is considering this challenge to go for it! As for 2011, I think I will do a picture a week and keep up on my family blog.  Thanks for joining me in my fun adventure!

The Polar Bear Club!
Are you in it?  I'm not!

I think it was -2 degrees with the wind chill.

We decided to head south again this year for a little family vacation.  It was freezing and we were unable to play outside as we have in years past, but thank goodness there was a pool and party to keep us busy!

We packed all the kids in a few cars and headed to the skating rink.  They played for hours on their scooters, skates, blades, and in the bounce house.  Great activity!

We were excited to visit Temple Square and see all the Christmas lights but it was kind of a crazy and hectic night.  I spent 25 minutes looking for a parking space, it seemed like everyone else in the city decided to visit Temple Square on the same night...it was very crowded, and our favorite tree (the huge one with a million red lights) was not lit up this year.  But it was worth it and the kids had a great time with their cousins.

I love the joy in their eyes on Christmas day.
This year has been a wonderful, spiritual, low stress, simplified Christmas and I have loved every minute of it.
