two hundred thirty-one

Our August family resolution was to plan a fun family activity.  Flowrider won the vote and today was the day!  The kids had the best time and picked it up fast!  They had some great wipeouts too.

It's not summer without our favorite pool! We spent the entire day camped out by the diving pool.
Crazy kids all day! Gainers, flips, crazy dives.  HELP!
After M successfully landed a double gainer off the first platform, his little brother decided to top him and attempt a double gainer off the second platform.

Well, it didn't go very well and he landed on his ribcage with a hard smack.  Seconds later, as he was trying to swim to the side, he passed out and started sinking.  I started screaming at the lifeguards, who were not looking, and ran over to the side.  Soon four lifeguards were in the pool with him and the others were clearing out the pool.  Because he passed out and they didn't see the accident they forced him on a stretcher in the pool, which he resisted because when he gained consciousness he was wondering what these crazy people were doing to him.  They finally got him out of the pool and we had to wait for the paramedics to arrive to release him.  I knew he was going to be fine as soon as he came to.  The EMTs confirmed that he had the wind knocked out of him and that he passed out but would be fine.  Sorry to all the other swimmers who had to wait 25 minute for this fun ordeal.  We counted our blessings today!!!

Can we fit in one more fun day before school? Oh yes we can!
I used my point and shoot, therefore, not the best pictures.
Regardless we had a wonderful day with the other 17,000 people!

Z Man took a picture of B Girl and I on the "Ladybug Drop". We're up there somewhere. Not a bad picture bud!
Can you see those 4 crazy girls in the back with their hands up? Oh yeah!

Today we ran another half marathon.
It was a beautiful mountain race and I attempted to catch the beauty with my phone camera. Not quite what I experienced, but worth a try.
My mom snapped a picture of me giving one of my running partners a high-five right before the finish line.
We did it!!!!

Forest fires caused a red tint to the evening. An amazing sight.
Watching in awe as our 5 children played with each other for an hour.
Sweet memories.

I had to take a picture of the legos. These have been the most popular toy at our house. They are loved by all ages and provide hours of entertainment.
