2015 one hundred four

I am excited and stressed that I started my second online photography course.
104 Intro to Natural Light
So.....the next four weeks will be a lot of me practicing again.
This week I need to shoot in the same spot same subject at different times of the day and in different types of weather.  I'm learning about how much natural light changes.
Even during this little session, the sun peaked through the clouds and changed the shadows on her face dramatically.
My goal for this week is to capture catchlights in the eyes, soft shadows from a 45° angle, and make sure I am spot on with exposure and white balance.
HERE I GO AGAIN!

Oh my goodness.  After a week of taking a break and the boys traveling, Monday morning was waiting for me! I also spent a lot of time catching up on the computer.  Gotta love catch up days.

Today was a beautiful day.  I actually talked everyone into going on a walk around our neighborhood.
I had to have an image of our new Nike shoes that Jim bought everyone at the Nike Employee store in Portland.  The boys' coach is a Nike employee and so we really scored!!!
This was the funnest picture.  We were all laughing so hard, thinking this was the coolest thing ever!

I guess I only took one photo today.
I flew to Las Vegas in the morning, grabbed a quick breakfast with Kass and Mom, then drove mom home in her car.  She has been living in Arizona for 4 months with Joy.
It was a nice day.  We also stopped in St. George and enjoyed a frozen yogurt with Jill Olsen. Our last stop was in Beaver for some fresh cheese curds.
So funny...We actually passed Zack right outside of St. George, he was heading home also.

Happy Eighth Birthday Brooklyn!
Breakfast in bed, a fun day at the Zoo, gymnastics, and a little family birthday party.
We finished her cake so late that we waited until Saturday to eat it.
I love you Brooklyn and am so happy you are a part of our family.
You were so excited for you new scriptures and can't wait to be baptized.

Brookyn and I cleaned her room most of the day, the boys arrived home around noon and then Zack and Max drove to St. George for the rest of spring break.
I was a little jealous when I saw their images.

It was a cold, rainy day so we decided to rent and watch movies all day.  We did sneak out to buy more popcorn, treats, and went out for pizza. It was so fun!
We also watched the boys win their last game against Lincoln High School 7-4.

Spring Break began today.  The Pollocks and Tomanys returned home, the boys traveled to Portland Oregon with their High School Lacrosse team so it was just us girls.  We planned a fun Stay-cation with the Quicks this week.
Today:
Lunch, Pedicures, and swimming at the Treehouse.

Later we watched the boys play their first game in Oregon.  Both boys played great with a 13-9 win over West Linn High School.

Another great cousins day.
We started at the Draper City Easter Egg hunt - with every other kid in the valley.

Enjoyed General Conference and a Conference Party hosted by Brynners
Games, treats, a treasure hunt, and conference activities were a hit.
After conference the kids decided they wanted to go swimming in our neighbors pool.  Thank goodness we have amazing neighbors!
Priesthood time!  Cade's first time.  (Jackson not pictured)
All the dads were out of town so these cute boys went together.
They made plans to eat at Fuji after conference, it sounded so good the moms went too!  We ran into them on our way out.  Photo by Jim who flew in and joined them at the Priesthood session.
